Standards & Practices
Editorial Guidelines
These guidelines govern how filmyflyi sources, validates, and presents information. They exist to protect the trust of our readers and the integrity of the platform.
01
Accuracy First
Every data point on filmyflyi is sourced from TMDB, supplemented by our editorial team's independent verification. When TMDB data conflicts with other authoritative sources (IMDb, studio press releases, official distributor announcements), we flag the discrepancy and default to the most recent official statement.
02
No Promotional Content
filmyflyi does not accept payment to alter, inflate, or modify editorial content. Studio relationships, affiliate arrangements, and advertising partnerships have zero influence on how films are described, rated, or ranked on our platform. Synopses are written to inform, not to market.
03
Transparent Attribution
We credit our data sources clearly. Film metadata is attributed to TMDB; critical consensus quotes are attributed to the originating publication; user-generated contributions are acknowledged. We do not republish verbatim text from copyrighted sources without permission.
04
Corrections Policy
Errors happen. When a factual error is identified — whether by a user report, editorial review, or data pipeline update — we correct it promptly and, for significant corrections, note the change at the bottom of the relevant page. We do not silently delete or alter content to hide mistakes.
05
Sensitive Content
Pages for films containing graphic violence, sexual content, or other mature themes are labelled with appropriate content advisories. We follow the MPAA, BBFC, and PEGI classification systems where applicable. filmyflyi does not editorially endorse any particular film's values or worldview.
06
Editorial Independence
Our editorial team operates independently of our commercial and product teams. Staff who source, write, or verify editorial content do not have visibility into advertising revenue from specific titles or studios. This separation is enforced by internal policy.
