
Robert Austin
Acting
Robert Austin was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Austin began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as "First to Fight" (1967) with Chad Everett, the drama "My Brilliant Career" (1980) with Judy Davis and the Glenda Jackson drama "Giro City" (1982). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Bunker" (CBS, 1980-81). He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the action flick "Xtro" (1983) with Philip Sayer, "Number One" (1984) and the Michael Caine spy picture "The Jigsaw Man" (1984). He also appeared in "Morons From Outer Space" (1985). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Pope John Paul II" (CBS, 1983-84). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Sleepers" (PBS, 1991-92). Austin more recently acted in the crime flick "Swoon" (1992) with Daniel Schlachet.
